CCUL Compliance offers specialized training solutions
Wednesday, February 14, 2018
2018 is going by quickly – even February is nearly over! Make it part of your to-do list in the first quarter to schedule annual training for your staff, board and/or supervisory committee. And when it comes to compliance training, consider Carolinas Credit Union League Compliance as a resource to meet your unique training needs.
“This opportunity is another benefit of membership for our member credit unions,” said Allison McClellan, compliance coordinator for the League. “We offer training in Reg E, Reg CC, and BSA to name a few. And often times we conduct training at the credit union itself or whatever location is most convenient for staff and/or board members. We do our best to tailor these services to the individual organization."
In the NCUA’s 2018 Supervisory Priorities letter to credit unions, the Administration noted its concentration on consumer compliance which includes Reg E. Examiners will be reviewing credit union’s overdraft policies and procedures for compliance with Reg E.
To meet this need, CCUL Compliance recently added Reg E training which can be tailored to your credit union’s specific needs. The NCUA letter also includes a focus on BSA compliance, which the League offers specialized training in for staff and board members.
“If you or your staff missed our BSA Conference this past January, we are here to assist in your annual BSA training needs,” McClellan added.
CCUL Compliance training requests are already coming in with the calendar filling up fast for the first quarter.
